It's a pity you have to choose. Both teach discipline, committment, and teamwork. Valuable. In all honesty, though, your voice will stay in performance shape far longer than your body will. That's the breaks. The physical disciple you'd learn from baseball can be learned elsewhere. Just my opinion/experience with vocal performance and dance.

Band. Or orchestra. Sports only helps if you're really good and go into a college team or even pro. Not sure about choir, but I know that band teaches study skills, posture, respect and how to read music. Choir is likely better than baseball. Don't let people pressure you into one or the other though. Do what feels right, more like yourself.

Or maybe he meant which would get him some? If that's the case go with choir. Girls swoon over a good singing voice. But If you want a good paying career I'd still say go with the calculus.

Ironically, my wife and I are faced with the same question regarding our (9yo) son. We have him signed up for both choir and baseball this spring, but just discovered that both activities meet/practice on Tuesday afternoons so the two activities conflict. We decided to let him choose, and he chose choir... so choir it is! 🎼🎵🎼

Even if he goes into high level sport his grades will suffer. Then god forbid he gets a bad injury an goes out bad like many greats.... Maths and batchelor degrees🎉🎉

Depends what type of 🐱 you want to receive when you get older. Athletics are always number one because they teach you a little bit of everything. You will be fit. Looked up to. Depended on. Learn disciplin, team work and respect. Always go with the sports if you think there is a chance you will enjoy it. But ultimately you need to stay true to yourself.

(if that sounds like stereotyping and offended somebody, sorry)
