Anyone else code video games?

I'm still learning (C++ is a pain in the ass to learn, thinking of moving from C++ to a game language for starters.) And i was wondering if anyone else codes? Sorry about the few personality-type posts i've been making the past week, just trying to figure out who are the people i'd like to be friends with.

This summer I'm learning c++ for a robotics class in the fall( high school)

What's c++

C++ is a multi purpose coding language.
You can do pretty much anything with it.Pretty awesome if i do say so myself 👍
Only problem is, it takes forever to learn it, and if you screw up one little thing its hard to find where you broke it. -
i started to mod a video game once
failed.. -

I'm semi decent in C++. was working on coding a game based on Decipher's Star Wars card game.I'm still learning (C++ is a pain in the ass to learn, thinking of moving from C++ to a game language for starters.) Oh, and if you think C++ is hard, you should try C... Not like the old days where we had BASIC, Fortran and Pascal.

If you want ease of access game maker is an easy program that has GML (game maker language) which is very easy beginner programming language. More complex ones would be JavaScript and html5

I have always wanted to start learning C+, but for some reason I never really got into it. :(

You won't be hired if you don't know C++. Python is also helpful, as it's string manipulation is fairly strong.
I was in the game industry for years before I went into the military.
A helpful guide would be to take a look at the syllabus from MIT for intro to programming classes (the Knuth books are a great start) along with most of the required courses at Digipen. If that's too much, get through the calculus series and move onto abstract and linear algebra ASAP. Symbolic logic is also incredibly useful for keeping your brain wired in a parallel to the maths. In fact, a good amount of philosophy can be helpful for strengthening your skills of reasoning, but don't be fooled--to be a great programmer, you'll want to be incredibly gifted, or work very hard at understanding maths. -
Experienced in Java and beginner in Python. I love python and have plans for c++ in the future
