What is your opinion on sweat shops? I'm writing a paper and I need opinions from other people about how they feel about them.

Lots of people will give opinions as to why they are bad, but i'll be devils advocate here. Sweat Shops are a good thing for both the people and the economy. They allow jobs for people who otherwise would have no work at all. Without these type of shops alot of other jobs would be gone since it requires the fabril these people make, the parts they assemble. The pay they get may seem low to us, but to them thats food and housing. Yes they work long and hard hours but no more so than people have all thru history. Imo most of modern society have no work ethic, they want big pay for little work. Sweat shop workers truely earn every cent they make.

True. The problem lies in the personal responsibility for the workers safety that often falls to wayside for the sweatshop, however. Sorry decaf, your thread.
