What do guys think of it? I am about halfway through and find it compelling so far.

👍 the only book i liked in school was Catcher. And thats because i already read it before we had to. Haha. There are so many good books out there yet we're forced to read the same ones in school.

I, I liked it a lot. I enjoyed reading it and I nailed my essay on it. 👍👍
But for the life of me I don't remember much about the book, or my essay😔

Not very interesting. The best part was right at the end and everything up to that point was more or less a pointless bore. It's still important to read, but there are better books. Read Ender's Game or Catcher in the Rye. Those are very good.

Mockingbirds don't do any harm and only make music. So killing one is considered a ruthless sin. (read the book, it explains the metaphor).

All three of these are amazing books, but I never felt like I had a connection with the characters on the same level as ender.
The Enders series changed my life!!! Children of the mind was one of the most reality distorting reads I've experienced.
