I don't know for sure. I was fine when I jailbroken my iPod. This type of jailbreak doesn't wipe your iPod. Restoring will. But you don't need to restore in the spirit jailbreak. However, just be warned cause a friend of mine tried it and wiped his iPod.

?? Well I have my apps backed up in iTunes. I downloaded most of my apps directly from the app store app. I don't know if it makes a difference.

do it! It's just installing cydia and installous on your phone. You can multitask, change everything on your phone, get all the apps for free! You can even get a file on there that allows you to sync whatever you get from there to Itunes. Comes up with a warning about the legality of it all when you download it though.

well I didn't have any issues. Idk it's your choice. Just when you download alot of cydia apps, your iPod/iPhone gets a good bit slower. Just make sure you don't have too many cydia apps on you device at once and you'll be fine

also, just make sure you snyc your device to iTunes and backup all your stuff. Spirit doesn't delete anything but you don't want to risk it if something is goes weird
