Heart Attack Grill

Did you guys know about that place in Vegas? Well apparently this place glorifies obesity and their food can go up to 8,000 calories a burger. You can eat for free if you weigh 350lbs or more but you have to be weighed in the center of the restaurant which is all themed like a hospital room btw. And their burgers are called Double Bypass, Triple Bypass, etc. well apparently someone had a heart attack there just yesterday. What Is your opinion on places like these?
-
Actually I read about it yesterday, it happened a few days ago.
-
I heard it on the radio yesterday and a lady's comment was "eat at your own risk" so that's what I would think... I couldn't believe it when I saw the burgers and food they have on the menu.. I cant see how that food wouldn't kill you.
-
Maybe a one time meal wouldn't kill you?
-
Your free to live how you want, and in the US you don't burden an NHS with your poor choices so why not. Smokers continue to smoke dispite the documented health risks, people continue to consume alcohol. It's your choice at the end of it.
-
I've heard of it... I think they're selling bacon milkshakes now... I think about 1000 calories
-
The guy that owns the place is a nutritionist. I mean he actualy worked for Jenny Craig and and is a doctor. That's the sad part to me.

Must just be me!Just found this....
So what’s on that Triple Bypass Burger? Three half-pound hamburger patties with buns dipped in lard, half of an onion cooked in lard, a whole tomato, 15 pieces of bacon, cheese, and special sauce.Buns dipped in lard? I change my mind...

One of the restaurant's promotions is a reward for customers who finish a Triple or Quadruple Bypass Burger, after which they are placed on a wheelchair and wheeled out to their vehicle by their "personal nurse."
The restaurant's previous spokesman, 575-pound (261 kg) Blair River, died on March 1, 2011, aged 29.

I've heard about this restaurant before.
-
Wouldn't the bread be soggy after being soaked in lard?

And for the record, at 6'3" I am a whopping 150 pounds.I'd bet my calories I could finish a triple... Maby not a quad... Guess I have a reason to go to Vegas ;)

I'm 5'3". And 150. Aww that's sad. I got my weight in all the right places though (oh maybe some of a beer gut 😒).
That was a good point about smoking cigs though, do so at your own risk. But damn this place sounds gross. I feel Nast just eating McDonald ever 6 months. -
I'm 5'2" and I weigh 90 pounds. Me skinny :(
-
I'm America it's your choice to be fat. 👍👍👍
-
I've always wanted to go there. If you down the quad bypass you get a wheelchair rise to the door

I would think its not only about the calories but about the cholesterol. I have a friend who is around 5'10 140 lbs but his cholesterol is high. I would think this place is just for those who can afford to indulge once in a while. Unfortunately, they try to sell to those who are already obese by offering things like "over 350 you eat for free". And it is messed up that the owner was a nutritionist because he knows exactly what he is doing and how bad those things are for you but he would rather try to make the quick buck even if he hurts people. But in the end I guess people do have the choice.

I thought that place was in PHX?

It's Vegas!!! Glam it up, have a gimmick, and you might have a chance of survival...this Place Just got the best publicity it could have ever had...everybody can feed themselves, Restaraunt's are a treat, a joy, a pleasure we cater to...a lot like having a drink or smoke...
-
They moved out of Phoenx, AZ to Las Vegas. I rather eat at In N Out Burger. Their specials are great.
-
As amazing as this place sounds, I'd rather die peacefully in my sleep than from a burger three times the size of my head.

You forget the main attraction.

When I was a kid, I thought it was "hard attack".

I think it's smart. This nutritionist isnt hurting anyone, they are hurting themselves. Hes not forcing it into their bodies. And think about how many things there are in the world that hurt people, but are bought in massive quantities. Soda, any fast food, candy, chips, smokes, booze, so much more.I would think its not only about the calories but about the cholesterol.
