Any coin collectors out there?
Forums › General Discussion › Any coin collectors out there?-
It's a hobby that I just started, so most of my coins are circulation coin. But my most valuable one is a coemarative coin I bought, when I was visiting Australia. It's a "Australia's Endangered
Species (Standard Proof) 10 Dollar commemorative coin". Do any of you collect coins, if yes, what's your favorite coin, and do you have any tips for me? -
I collect Kennedy 50 cent pieces in my spare time 😃

I collect Standing Liberty Quarters. Beautiful coins. If you would like coin advice, pm me. I hate trying to find forum threads and might miss a question posted here.

I do a little. My most prized are WWII era coins and currency. I've got WWII coins (US) and an Hawaii print US one dollar bill. I've also got a German Mark from WWI. 1917

Hawaii is a good note. Complete your "set" with a WWII North Africa note.
-
I mean that "HAWAII" is printed over the note. It was done so that the japs wouldn't be able to copy our currency in case of invasion.

I have a ton of coins and i have 2 $1600 first currency of america legit coins with proof. Found in a sunken transport ship from the 1700's off coast of florida

My oldest coin is from the year 1970 ( again I just started) it's an Egyptian coin, an commerative coin for a famous singer.
-
I've got a ton of wheat pennies. Some of them pretty old. One from 1915. A bunch of silver dollars and whatnot. My faves are probably a 1937 Indian head buffalo nickel that's in great shape, a 1939 liberty dime, and a steel penny which were only produced in 1943 due to the need for copper during ww2.

I have a half penny (I'll get details tomorrow, too lazy to get up.) From the early 1800's.
That's a nice coin.
Nearly untouched condition. I keep it in a glass case sealed in a fireproof vault in my closet with a few banknotes..
Hmm, yeah i collect coins 😹

$200. Saw the very same stuff selling on the web in the $500 to $750 range. He was awesome. Showed me pics of his dives. My son bought a beautiful 8 Reale from the same wreck for $200 as well and Craig tossed in a 1/2 Reale coin for free. Met him at the Baltimore coin show. He chatted with us for a good half hour.

I do coin and paper money. Local shops are fun to dive into. I get a mailing once a month from the clearing houses. They usually have specials for new customers. I bought 15 all uncirculated $1 coins for $16, for instance. I have to pay differently, and ship differently to keep the deal going. Another tip is don't let anyone pressure you into buying. If they pressure you fir a quick decision it's a major red flag.
