The national debt will slow down and we will begin to edge away at it. Our military (best navy in the world) Is the one thing preventing chinas rise to become a superpower. The only military issue we might face with them is the fact that they have a extremely large number of people that they could utilize in war. [my 2cents] -
Not saying that it will come to war, but u know what I mean.
-
There already a superpower economically but we are a military superpower
-
No, I think that there is a slight chance of a war with china but they will not ever be the new super power. Also our military is top notch so we would crush them. USA!🇺🇸

No they wont be. If china ever starts something, the usa can just block all china made goods. Thatll crush chinas economy
-
If we keep borrowing money from china and we keep going further into debt it's possible they could because we could dig a hole so deep we could no longer fund our military

They have the easy potential to become a superpower. All they have to do is introduce political and economic freedom. The only thing preventing them right now is the fact that some Chinese people do not like chinas policies.
-
They are the economic super power. That haven't surpassed us, but they have reached critical mass; crossed the point of return. But that isn't a terrible thing, it's how the world works. Look at all the western European countries that were at one time world leaders (In any sense of the word you choose). Germany is doing ok, so is England. France is... I wouldn't want to live there, but they are doing ok. Pretty much any non communist state is still getting along just fine.
We were bound to loose our status as a world leader. When you're at the top, there is only one place to go.
As far as war goes, as long as china holds our debt (and they hold a whole crap load of it) and we as a country don't go bankrupt, we are relatively safe. you dont bite the hand that feeds you...

I've heard that the price to ship goods from china has risen and manufacturers are starting to re-open factories here in America bc of better quality and competitive prices. Hope it's true.

China isn't going anywhere. Their population is too high and their internal natural resources are too low. They are at an economic boom at the moment but it won't hold.
-
Our ancestors that settled here didn't care who the super power was just that we were free and focused on country and family that's right where we need to be I think
-
No! Chinas inflation is rising, they manipulate their calculation of GDP which makes their currency worth more and makes the surface appear as a booming economy but in reality they are always one phase behind the US. US exports have steadily decreased over the last few years to them and an economy thats booming relies more heavily on imports yet China is decreasing its amount reflective of an unstable economy. In addition other countries are importing less from them. They are starting to fall into a recession the same way the US was 5 years ago.. They're so close yet so far away to catching up!!

For sake of your school work compare china to any other domanant power in the history of time, they are the workshop
Of the world right now, what was Britan at its height? What was Rome at its height? The list goes on. -
China is a mold, a blueprint. In 1939 Aldous Huxley wrote a book called "brave new world". In this book he describes almost exactly where our government is pushing us. Via their healthcare bills and welfare economics, they are creating the society that China was supposed to be. The worlds financial elitists have conspired to globally enslave the worlds population......in essence, china isn't going anywhere, and we are right behind them....

Two important dimensions of this growth are the emergence of a large middle class and a rising income gap. As an indicator of how a few people in China have become fabulously wealthy, in 2003, worldwide sales of Bentley automobiles were 200; 70 of them were sold in China at price of 2 million rmb, or 250 times average urban income. The U.S. equivalent would be if 200 people bought those cars at $7.5 million each.
I thought this was interesting
And to answer the ? China is already a super power. Look around they have their hands in everything. -

China has way more power over the US than you all think. Essentially they could bankrupt the US tomorrow if they wanted it would be a stupid thing to do as long term they would lose out.
For all those saying china needs the US Market you are mistaken china has the largest Market in the world and therefore is self sustaining.
They don't have human right laws like us they are quite happy for there own people to die rather than pay them benefits or food stamps of you don't make your own way they won't make it for you like in the US and UK who have leeches in the economy. -
Carrying on from above belial china has been buying up natural resources all over the world for a few years now they own some of the largest mines in the world.
For those who doubt there military power although they are behind established militarys I wouldn't want to fight them 5 or 10 years down the line they can essentially force people to join the army and with there current economic boom they will invest heavily in the latest military technologies.
Lastly I think since the introduction of nuclear arms into the world any country with the ability to produce and fire a nuclear warhead over a long range can be defined as a superpower as they can change the world forever in the blink of an eye.
