All my thoughts and prayers for Hanks family at this time, as much as we feel the void left in the TW world the void left in their everyday life is immeasurable. He was a great guy, loyal ally and great friend and source of tips for this game I can only hope his family can take solace that this person in their lives left an indelible mark on many more lives than even he may have realized. Godspeed Hank.
how beautifully said.

Wow, this is really sad news, my condolences to his family and friends.
I didn't really know Hank as I only had a brief interaction with him. But in that little bit he seemed like a great guy and I had nothing but respect for him.

FALFURRIAS - A memorial service for Border Patrol Agent Mark Foster Van Doren, who died as a result of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident while on duty late Sunday, was held yesterday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias, TX.
Border Patrol Agents Mark Van Doren and Adelaido Martinez were traveling west on FM 755 from Highway 281 when they struck a bull, causing their patrol sedan to veer off the road and collide with a tree.
Van Doren, 40, of Michigan, entered on duty in January of 2009 with the 849th Session of the U.S. Border Patrol Academy and was assigned to the Falfurrias Border Patrol Station. Van Doren is survived by his parents, and three children all of Michigan.

A formal service for Agent Van Doren will be held May 31, in Johannesburg, Michigan.

This has got me quite emotional, not because he was a great tw player, but just thinking about his family. I know how it feels to lose someone close. I lost my grandad to cancer recently. And all I can say is I hope his soul is in a good place and I send my condolances to his family. My turfs will be blue for the rest of my tw life.
From all of us across the pond, we hope his family can cope. -
Take Care Hank.
My prayers to his family and kids. -

Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good. -

First Gary Coleman and now Big Hank? WTF is happening to the world?
R.I.P. Big Hank, you were always an awesome person.

RIP man I never got to know you as a player but looking at all of this put out for you makes me regret never talking to you. I guess I'll have to wait a while for that chance. Make a safe zone up top for helpless noobs like me lol. To your family if they come read this: none of us ever really knew him; we didn't even know his real name, but just looking at all this love and sympathy that is being poured out by people that he just barely even touched at all. It is really a testament to his character and may he rest in peace.

This is really hard to beleive. I'm here in Houston where Hank and I have had our battles over this great city. We have definitely had our differences in the past but just in the last few weeks, we had came together as an alliance and truly got to see the good side of who you are. My prayers for your family, especially your 3 kids left behind. May your soul rest in peace and god watch over your loved ones. My turf color will change to blue indefinitely and any turf I place in Houston will be in your name. We honor your service and everything you did to keep the great state of Texas and the rest of the US a safer place to live. YOU WILL BE MISSED! In memory of Mark Van Doren

On Tuesday the 25th, Big Hank said "brb".
Perhaps we are looking at the wrong news story.

i met hank when i first started playing. i actually didn't realize he was a top mobster for like 2 weeks solid we just talked and he pitched in just as much if not more effort and time for ccdb as i did. he was honestly one of the kindest souls i've ever met and he saw through the bullshit to who i really am right away. he also spoke to the core of me when i needed it most. i got laid off a few weeks ago and have been having a pretty rough time of things from losing my apartment to finding out who my friends were not and while he wasn't here physically, he had plenty to say that kept me on an even keel. but he also challenged me to rise to the occasion. i've been completely out of touch for the past week moving, interviewing and trying not to go insane. coming on last night i started to read all of this stuff about him in horror..

i spoke with the officer that his phone was reissued to and have confirmed that the accident did happen, it was hank (mark) and he is in fact gone. the officer also noted that his wife and kids are being taken care of (meaning http://www.odmp.org/officer/20407-border-patrol-agent-mark-van-doren neglecting to mention a wife is likely a misprint). as far as his account being reset, i am guessing that a reset of an iphone would hook into a reset within apps, too but that may be pretty far fetched of an explanation. anyway.. man, i honestly don't know what to say. there really hasn't been many people i've met on or offline that could walk in his shoes. he was kind to everyone and tempered his responses to those who were negative towards him. i never asked him to defend me from anyone but that didn't stop him from doing it. i know our paths will cross again but until then, RIP my friend..
