I need to get my taxes done and I see the commercials that say its totally free. But has anyone used it that can confirm its 100% free?

Turbo tax is better IMO. They charge for state returns but not federal. I figure h&r is the same way.

1040ez is free on most sites, but you will b charged to file state returns. I use turbo tax

That is a marketing gimmic! It gets you in the door so they can sell you more of their overpriced crap.

Taxes can be done for free. You can do them yourself, which isn't hard if you have a simple return, with no or few deduction.

My city used to sponsor a free tax filing service to anyone who made under 50k a year. All you had to do is wait in line with all the seniors...

Or go find a CPA that does taxes. Get it done right for a third of what hr block is going to charge you to have some community college dropout do your taxes.
