Vlad wasn't evil. Nor was Stalin or Hitler, depending on how you define "evil". Did they mean well?
Vlad was a particularly interesting character. He killed to instill fear in his enemies. Remember his precarious situation... His royal family murdered, the Muslims on one side and the Christians on the other... Passing Wallachia back and forth between them...
He was brutal out of fear, distrust, and necessity. And it worked!! We still talk about him today, and even invented a fictitious supernatural monster in his image.

hitler and stalin are both considered the evilest person in different ways. Hitler intentionally killed 6,000,000 jews alone and many others. So he is evil on account of genocide. Stalin did kill more people but it wasnt genocide or persecution of a certain race or group
