Why be a capo?

I went on a real long hop today, 56 hops all together and along the way became the capo of 2 little towns, so I left turf there.

Now I'm asking myself why? Aside from not having to pay police protection (which doesn't matter anyways, I do the global protection so I don't get busted on missions) I don't see any reason to keep my capos. I think I'm much better off moving those turfs into bigger areas and making some money.

Am I missing Something?

I think there's a small part if income difference, but most of it is just bragging rights and being in charge of the town.

You're right move them to bigger areas. They're mainly just bragging rights. They're worth it though if you're capo of NYC, or Chicago where free police protection is handy and pretty praiseworthy.
