I've been playing since December and there's still one thing I'm not clear on. If you use respect points to get cash from the Don, is that a one time boost, or does that increase your hourly income?

yep. The cost goes up every time you use it as opposed to every other time like turf. It's the only worthless point useage besides healing with points
