Question about Visas (America)
Forums › General Discussion › Question about Visas (America)-
My hubby and I are going through that now.. You are better off applying for the fiancé visa up front not getting married while you are here. As I recall if you come here and get married you must leave until approval even when married. With the fiancé visa you get approved up front and yes have 90 days upon entering to marry. You will not be able to work for the first 8 months waiting on your SS card and green card. We are in the last stages and it has cost us over 5,000. Be prepared.

No you would apply for an adjustment of status. Once you submit all the paperwork, the visa that you entered the country on first expire until a decision is made regarding the adjustment. My hubby and I are going through that now..
