Still waiting on my question. So how does matrox compensate for the fact that users will remove codes on purpose to hurt the site?
I posted how virtually every site does up/down rating of content. You could experiment with the site to see what it does (shouldnt be that hard for a good developer to do a black box test to find te algorithm).

I like turtles

What you said doesn't work for codes. So the sake bad code doesn't get added again and again it would have to be marked as a dupe. At which point the code will never be back⌖🔥Belial🔥⌖ wrote:

Instead you have an attibutes field that defines whether it's to be displayed for that user or not. And if it's bad then it wouldn't show up for anybody but remains in the history.

My only real problem with twdb is the inability to mark codes I've punched already. I mean how can you not have that? Everytime I used twdb I get "this players already in your mob" or "you've already invited this player to your mob" It gets old fast.

Exactly. So once a code is removed everyone in the game gets screwed. Imagine the thousands of codes you've misse dbr cause player could've removed them⌖🔥Belial🔥⌖ wrote:

Personally ive tried icm for about 30mins and didnt really like the lay out , so i stuck with twdb and so far has got me nearly 30k mob in 14months , ill be sticking with twdb lets just hope a few things can be sorted out with adding of bad codes

Log into your account on twdb so the site can relate punched codes to an account. It has the feature. I personally use twdb mainly bc ive punched way too many codes to go to another site just to punch them again. I would like for the site to take codes with more then 5 bad flags down, instead of seeing codes with 15-30 bad flags. I will continue to use db despite this issue. My only real problem with twdb is the inability to mark codes I've punched already. I mean how can you not have that? I hadn't noticed that feature. I'll go back and have a look then. I had only seen the ability to mark bad or invalids.Ꮹཞ།ཀཀ wrote:

Belial it's very apparent that you are not actually interested in learning and improving. I provided the very basics of how a professional developer would approach the problem. If you want to keep a closed mind then you can continue on having problems with twdb.
You can chose to learn and open your mind tried and true enterprise design patterns and both build your own skill set but improve the user experiance of your site.

In all likelihood, if someone started mass flagging previously good codes as bad, it would be detected by the site admin.
The user(s) would be banned and the damage reversed.

Actually. No you didn't. If a code only disappeared for a user who marked it bad then everyone would have 200k bad codes to punch. I said you up/down rank codes based on their marking. When a bad batch comes in you you go in as an admin and mark that batch job as bad and have the system mark those entries as bad (unless the code already exists as good)

Because once again the debs don't care about you

Ive got no problem with matrix,I find it easy to use and good return.....nearly 28k in 9 months,it can't be that bad
-
I couldn't even figure out how to call up codes on matrix. The site os too complicated and the learning curve too high

They do. When a bad batch comes in you click the contact link an report it. Their admin then "removes" the codes and bans the user. There are plenty of posts here about users getting banned from ICM.
You don't have to play turf wars to run a good code site.
