Surgery. Who has had one?
Forums › General Discussion › Surgery. Who has had one?-
Well many things have been racing through my mind lately. One of those things is my sugary over the summer. I was spening time with my girlfriend and my side started to hurt. Well I went to the ER and they did a cat scan and discovered it. After an excruciating 11 hours of waiting, the moved me into same day surgery. The last thing I remember befor going under was saying I needed my surgery cap. I woke up freaking out and almost hit a nurse. I apologized but was still screwed up from the anisteshia. I went home and fell asleep.

After I awoke I was in a massive amount of pain from the larposcopic wounds. I took a percoset and relaxed while my girlfriend held me. I then got the sudden urge to fart, but it wasn't a fart. I shat myself o my bed right infront of my girlfriend. Out of shame I began crying as she helped me to the bathroom. Days later of laying in bed drinking Gatorade all day long and watching the Casey anthony trial, I go in for a check up. The surgeon told me I am fully healed but I would be in pain. That was the super summed down version of my appendectomy. :D hoped you enjoyed my crappy story

I nearly went unconscious from the worlds worst headache and went to the er. Stayed till 1100pm got there at 100pm

Lol for my surgery I was in the hospital for about 5-6 days 😺 It was arthroscopic, so I wasn't really in pain. When I got my IV, they messed up and had to put it in quite a few times lol.

It isn't fun waking up. You are confused and have no idea what is going on.

some lady cut in front of me while I was riding home on my MC and I ended up loosing 2 teeth, chipping another and cracking a molar. I lost most of the skin on my right knee, I have chronic back pain, sprained my foot, had a huge rash on my arm from my riding jacket, broken 2 fingers, to Carples in my hand and my next always feels awkward like I have to crack it or stretch it. I've had 3 surgeries to fix my hand. with pins and screws to re align my fingers and try to help with arthritis. I actually just had another one and I still have the pins in my hand which hurt like hell. to fix my teeth I had 4 vaneers and a molar crown. my back hurts even more cuz I had to stop going to the gym cuz of my hand and I put on 20 pounds.
sometimes.. people piss me off.
whats an appendectomy?

Just one? 😱 R knee scope, L & R knee rebuilds, 2 C-sections (ok, so my kids have zero sense of direction). Plus the normal kid stuff...tonsils, ear tubes.

I had to get surgery to put back together a split bone in my wrist. They had to take out a sliver of bone from another bone in my arm and put it in between the two broken pieces, and bonded them with a screw. It was funny. When I woke up I stretched out my arms over my head, and my left, which had gotten the surgery , fell right on my head from the anesthesia LOL and I didn't know it was my arm cuz I couldn't feel it so I was like pushing it off and freakin out lmfao all the nurses cracked up haha

Hahaha let me think...
I've split my head open 5 times.. Been stitched, stapled and glued
Nearly lost two fingers to an iceskate(someone stepped on me)
Took a bmx down a mountain, woke up with broken wrist, half my face torn away, arm and lag on my right side, practically scraped off.
Ate battery acid once (don't ask), grabbed a pole as the guy was welding it(the electric way)
And been burned numerous times.
Can't say I've ever had a surgery though. :) -

Had surgery on my nose, for my sinuses and breathing... Last thing I remember was a cap being put over my head and something in my mind saying I was walking on sunshine... Woke up in the recovery few hours later, it was terrible, sleeping with your mouth open drys your spit and throat... Terrible feeling... Healed up in a few days though.

Nope... No pins, screws, or anything like that..
Sorry, mr.beefy, I didn't mean for what I said to take their attention..
I hope you feel better. -
Wait until you have a catheter stuck up the eye of your manhood. You can't cut off your piss so it looks like ( well I was actually) pissing myself. Still had to go to work and earn a dollar though. :(

Had that too.. Just didn't wanna include it in my post... The Vicodin I was on really messed me up and swelled up my bladder wall... Just the one in which I left the building with a new human. Btdubs, it is super scary waiting for an epidural to wear off & not being able to move your legs even one centimeter & hitting them with your fists and feeling nothing.

Had gastric bypass surgery 4 years ago this March. Lost 300 pounds, which was definitely worth the pain of the surgery. I have also had a tonsillectomy (about 10 years ago) and four hernia operations as a kid.

Pfff imagine doing it without the epidural at all. That's what my wife did. She had been saying she wanted to deliver our daughter naturally anyway, but I had been telling her to keep the possibility open. So we're in the delivery room, and she starts to get major contractions, so I ask her if she wants the epidural and she says yes. I get the nurse she comes in and checks and says "oh no you can't have an epidural, you're 8 centimeters, it's time to push" So she accidentally ended up getting her way lol. Gave me a whole new respect for you ladies.ℬeƖƖɑIƗɑƖiɑɳɑ wrote:

Don't know why I shared all that lol. Thinking about that night got me on a roll for a second.
