Appartently the home team pulled off a rare win against one of their top ranked rivals, causig the away team fans to throw fireworks etc. At the home team fans storming the feild. 70 people were killed, and the players had to be escourted into the locker rooms for their safety

I'm from Egypt, so yeah it always makes me mad when I hear stories like this. But it's not surprising, Egypt has a long history of violence because of soccer games, it just rarely gets this bad.

Doesn't every country get worked up over soccer (except the US) it's mainly football fans here. For along time I didn't even know that the US even HAD a soccer team xD

Yeah but the headlines usually are ,,3 injured, at ----vs----" or ,,1 dead, at riots in English Derby match", but never ,,73 dead, at Egyptian soccer riots"

Sad really. You carnt even go watch a football match without the hate of other supporters ,I went to watch man utd last night it was lovely and calm which is rare ,I don't understand why people would won't to kill each other of a football match! Sadpeople.com or what!

No it really wasn't. I was there. Ya it was bad, flipping cars and torching them, but 73 people didn't die.
