It seems that the vets have been caught up in a nostalgic fever, so my question to them is what has changed in the forums? I've been here since mid November so I've never experienced the "old" forum.

Some of us are just a tad sick and tired of all the teen angst around here. Couple that with the flood of "help wanted" threads and you get the picture. This a supposed to be a war game, not Facebook.

Wow I'd the forums were like this everyday back then they must have been great, I have laughed this hard at anything in here in a long time. Is it like this in palringo (excuse the poor spelling)

The old forums are before your time. October/November was a boom of noobs. So before that, :)

There was a greater sense of community before. The forum games were more original. Less "look at me" threads. More engaging discussion.

We used to have to carve out our replies on a wax tablet, then send them back home twice a year, made the threads last ages.
Also, putting 'serious answers only' after a question that begs a silly answer, guarantees nothing of the sort.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if sounds like it was a group of people shooting the 💩. The posts that were made we're for a reason or for fun. There wasn't rampant attention whoring or questions about life that we can't or shouldn't answer. How did I do?
