My neighbour had a pet French strawberry, until it killed and ate him. It was multi-lingual though. Confused the police no end, it did. They finally gave up on the case when it grew mouldy and got thrown out.

There is an obvious flaw in your story. Noone from france is multi lingual.

I'm confused... Was the strawberry moldy before he ate it? Was it a mercy killing because the strawberry was moldy? Why would someone want a French strawberry? Isn't it illegal to keep a strawberry as a pet? So many unanswered questions...

There is an obvious flaw in your story. Noone from france is multi lingual.
See Sir, that's where you're wrong. You assumed that just because the strawberry was called French, it was from France. The truth of the matter is, it was from Africa. I'm not sure why my neighbour named it French ... Possibly for similar reasons to Robinson Crusoe naming his friend 'Friday'.

Oh Getch, Getch, Getch. My dear friend (whom I've never met, and possibly never spoken directly to). The strawberry ate my neighbour. And it became mouldy after it at him, in the time it took the police to launch a criminal investigation. Nobody ever ate the strawberry!
In reply to your comment regarding the nationality of the strawberry, I refer you to my previous comment.
And finally but not least, my neighbour had a permit to keep French as a pet. He even had a leash for it, but I suppose it escaped from the leash on that fateful afternoon. 😿
