It was definitely Lost inspired.

I am stuck on this friggin rock. All attempts to escape have been futile.

I help my people here, but occasionally attack and cap them.

I go after outsiders, but help some.

And I when I finally do get out of here, it will be mass chaos.

That pretty much summarizes the black smoke from Lost.

Although I probably should have waited for the series finale before the name change.

Another similarity...I was on a night ride once...crashed into a big deep hole and lost my light. Almost got *Lost* trying to find my way out of the jungle in the dark.
