Its same as the chinese. Its like ur peeing on somebody, and imagine ur a spirit and someone peed on u, what wld u do for revenge?Mystery wrote:
I think the idea is, it's locations like this where lost spirits linger, by urinating you enrage them. Obviously it depends on the location itself, but it's generally implied when your on the road and you stop off in a secluded area, which there's a lot of in India. Some very creepy looking places.Darth Vadan™ wrote:
They can only possess you if you are urinating under a tree? Not urinating in a bathroom or eating under a tree?Back in India they believe that you shouldn't urinate under a tree at night because wondering spirits can possess you.

Ive been doing this since the first time I saw Dumb & Dumber. If you spill salt, throw a pinch over your left shoulder to ward off bad luck.
I knew someone that insisted on touching the roof of her car everytime she saw a car with only one working headlight; said it warded off bad luck.

We always hit the roof of the car if we drove through a yellow light and yelled "f***!"
I do the salt thing even though I am NOT superstitious in the least.
For job interviews and big presentations/meetings I carry an old briefcase of my dad's--it's beat to hell. Things always go well (so far).

Hanging raw chillies over an entrance deters evil.

I spent a few weeks in Malawi during a conflict there, one woman told me that one tribe which was fighting refused to shoot at targets for training as they believed the spirits would be all they needed to enhance their fighting ability.
