  There are already a few stores in Seattle that have made the switch and have been there since sept 09. They are under a different name. The only way you can tell it's a sbux is the equipment. Go to one of those and you will know what they are gonna serve.

  Beer is already being served at Starbucks in Seattle. My sister in law works for corporate. I gave her a quick buzz. Drive-thrus will continue to add to Starbucks' bottom line, making up about half of the new stores the company opens domestically over the next few years. She pointed me at an interview.

  Working a drive through sucks though. You know the idiot that won't get off their cell phone? Now imagine having no way to get their attention aside from just asking over and over again "can I take your order?" at which point they either keep ignoring you or snap at you saying they are still deciding. Then if you forgot to ask them a simple question like if they wanted whipped cream you can't until they are at the window. Then they decide they want a pastry but since you don't have the cake pop they want you have to tell them literally everything you do have while they ask their kid one at a time if they want it. "banana walnut bread? No? A cookie? No? Are you SURE you don't have any cake pops? Can you check the back? Will you get some in within the next 5 minutes?"

  And on top of all that? You're being timed. And if your time isnt good you'll get tons of shit for it.
