If ya want to dehydrate food and dont have a professional dehydrator go check out alton browns inforation on foodnetwork.com. He has some really informative ways to take basic items and create a dehydrator including oven use.

He didn't ask if he could use an oven as a dehydrator

Its all about food temperature for safe eating. So just make sure the food is proper temp to safely eat if ya put it in the dehydrator to ' cook ' it

I'm interested to know what you are cooking??? Like others have said no you can't, you can dehydrate stuff in your oven, but you can't bake in your dehydrator, the temp doesnt get high enough.

I saw a tv show once where they cooked their dinner wrapped in foil under their car hood. Threw it in, drove their commute home, and voila a hot dinner already made.
I was just like... whhhhhhy?

Kind of a different scenario, but it's a good idea nonetheless. And it worked a charm! 👍

If that "something" is weed than it's gonna smell up your entire house either way. But that's still not a bad idea....
