Fair enough. I honestly still think it's a judgement (albeit a respectful one). In regards to your point of eroding moral foundation, other than going against the Bible's ruling on sexual relations, I don't see how being homosexual leads to a crumbling of morality in general. Could you please expand on that?RPL, good question but....No, I am not judging them. I happen to believe that this country was founded on Godly principle ad that changing the institution of marriage to include homosexuals eats away at that moral foundation. If a man wants to be with a man then to each his own but it should not be recognized as marriage by law.

Olentangy, that may be true but there are few biblical truths that are in your face as the homesexual debate is. I am curious though, give me an example of those ignored truths. 👊🔨💀

Well if you belive in the bible that much do you do this if its fungus in your house? :
14:49 And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop: 14:50 And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water: 14:51 And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times: 14:52 And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet: 14:53 But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean.

Sure thing RPL. Moral decay doesn't happen over night. It starts with one thing and leads to another. If this country was founded on Godly principles then look at the follwing.....Abortion was legalized, prayer is now forbidden in schools and in most school sponsored events and now homosexuality is trying to work it's way into the marriage institution. All contrary to Godly foundational truths. Bit by bit this country's moral foundation is being torn away. 👊🔨💀

Dr.HaK, no I do not do that. Sacrifice is no longer necessary since Jesus laid down his life for all sin past, present and future. Nor do I stone my children at the gates of the city because they were disobedient. Lol 👊🔨💀

Because if you understood the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant then you would know that the new covenant makes us free from the law of sin and death! The Old Testament was written before Jesus came making it necessary to live according to the letter of the law. The only way to atone for sin was to sacrifice something. Jesus was sacrificed for us making that old testament (covenant) null and void. 👊🔨💀

I absolutely believe in Genesis, Abraham and Moses! Abraham and Moses were great men of faith. Genesis was the blueprint of God's desire to fellowship with man. The null and void part was about the atonement for sin. Thats no longer necessary. 👊🔨💀

So why is the rules there if they are not needed? Doesnt that just show that the bible is way to old to be trusted?

Thanks. I guess our fundamental disagreement lies in the fact that u believe Christian morality should be the basis in which society is measured. I think that the 3 things you mentioned have little influence on what I do agree is a society troubled with an increase in intolerance & a subsequent decrease in respect for your fellow being.Sure thing RPL. Dr.HaK. They were needed. Without the old testament, there would have been no need for God to send his son Jesus to be sacrificed for mankind. Its ALL part of God's plan to spend eternity with us. If anything, it proves the entirety of the Bible is true and relevant. 👊🔨💀
-
Enough about my beliefs, you seem to know a thing or two about the Bible. What do you believe? 👊🔨💀
-
RPL, do you have a doubt that this country's foundation was that of God's principles? What other morality do you think was involved? 👊🔨💀

I totally agree. While some may not agree, the society we live in now is secular. Homosexual or not, everyone has to live by the same rules. This should also mean that the same people are afforded the same rights.Absolutely, 100% yes. To deny any rights that others take for granted is just plain old prejudices. Black and white, case closed. Anyone that will read the US Constitution without personal filters of prejudice would clearly see that to deny this basic right is 100% unconstitutional. I don't see how anyone could honestly deny that.

On a side note, why would gay people want to get married in a church with homophobic views anyway? Are they taking the piss?

I actually didn't say I didn't believe it was built on it. Just said I don't agree that morality should be measured strictly against it. Christianity definitely was the dominant (if not only) form of popular religion during the time but I don't believe the American founding fathers based their vision of a great nation on it.RPL, do you have a doubt that this country's foundation was that of God's principles? What other morality do you think was involved? 👊🔨💀
