Weak rotation. The fam is in the shelter ATM. Arab is where it touched down aparently.

I don't get some American people, they live in an turnado infested country but still decide to rebuild their destroyed homes with wood. do they not think their homes will stand a better chance with brick?

A slightly better chance, but I've seen brick houses torn apart firsthand. I responded to the April tornado outbreak and nothing would have survived those save for underground houses.

As for it being an American problem, you can look at just about any area in any country and they have their own natural disaster problems. You just can't prevent this stuff.
