After writing a formal letter. Sending it to all of my state representatives, and signing petitions, I finally can say that I got what I wanted.

You realise they'll just make changes to it, rename it, bundle it up in a neat little package and propose it again don't ya?!
All said and done there are still criminals getting away with theft. They should be punished no?
In the meantime... Be proud that 13 million of you are now guilty by association. Lols :)

Having spent a considerable amount of time looking into this today, my findings tell me that the majority of people crying about it all over the web, actually knew little to nothing about it. Out of the 13 million, how many millions of them were simple sheep?
It makes no difference though. Lol what's done is done. I just hope those who are celebrating don't think this is the last of It. :)

It's not over they made something exactly like it called pipa or pita or something

You'd be surprised how many of us qualify as criminals for downloading some things. There is no way to stop hackers or pirates. Hell when was he last time you looked up a song on google and downloaded it just for that one song? (ps you didn't buy it) so technically you stole it. Same thing with ring tones made out of a song. You realise they'll just make changes to it, rename it, bundle it up in a neat little package and propose it again don't ya?!

Point is there is no point I stop them from doing it. DMR on mp3 files did pretty good for a while. If the wanna stop theft, they need to think more creatively and less imposing.

SOPA is not dead!!! It's been pulled from the vote but the bill is still alive. I promise you that the bill will emerge again in the near future and most likely attached to another bill that has nothing to do with piracy. It will be pushed through and we will find out about it later. Don't let down your guard.

How many of you have read the bill and how many of you are relying on the word of others before forming an opinion?

I have read the bill. It obviously would completel break the Internet. More harm than good I sayHow many of you have read the bill and how many of you are relying on the word of others before forming an opinion?

I must admit, having read it I do think there's a lot more thought needed to push something of this nature. Completely break the internet? Umm maybe a bit extreme lol
With more clear definitions and guidelines they could make a more realistic bill. I do think they will struggle though. Obviously the web is one helluva big place to police.
But that still leaves a few pretty big questions unanswered!
Can mass criminal activity be allowed on the net? Is it something companies and government should just accept? What kind of message does it send to society if they don't keep trying?
I'm not on a mission of morality here. I just can't seem to sway either way. I see arguments from both sides and agree with points from both.
Now this one has been put on ice it'll be interesting to see what happens next.

Well. Though piracy is a small issue. It's not possible to stop it

You're right, it'll never be stopped completely. Just as the goverments of the world will never stop chasing lost tax revenue from sales in the film and music industry. Hence the logic of these bills I guess.Well. Though piracy is a small issue. It's not possible to stop it
Now.... I'm off to fire up my utorrent... A couple of movies I'm after! :) 👍
