What do you think? Do you think that we should continue with it? Think of all of the new medicines that have come because of experimenting with them on animals first. But think of all o the poor animals killed in the results of it. They use them for testing shampoos and eyeliner and all sorts of things. Should we continue with experimenting products on animals? Or test on humans instead?

Seriously? Test on humans instead? If the life of a few thousand lab rats can save the lives of people, then what is the issue?

I'm happy to eat them. Kill them. So. Putting eyeliner on them doesn't bother me much.

It is horrible but it is the best choice. The average hunan can express likely 10x worse if they have pain than any animal. That is a much larger mental impact than animals usually. Also, rats are a huge, HUGE problem. They are a very successful species yes, arguably the second most accomplished but now they are a global PEST and a few dying will not affect anyone much. They are beyond thriving. Humans could also cut done in numbers (not like a instant or quick cut like a huge genocide or war, just over time a reduction in population) since feeding then uses so much resources and living space needed for them causes more natural forests to be cut down that it damages the Earth in such a way.

Ok so maybe testing things like hospital strength detergents and makeups is unnecessary but medicines I think are ok, just so long as the animals are treated with respect.

There is no other real humane way to do this. Now, testin shampoos and beauty products is ridiculous, but studying diseases, medications, and gene therapies is worth it and has proven to be successful in helping humanity. It is sad, but the only current way to get the most reliable results.

How much pain a human can express compared to an animal I have no idea. The above '10x' is just my pure guess, not fact. I just figure it around that much.

They do sew eyelids open and pour shampoo in their eyes. That can't be fun.

Here is a question...today at work I dumped sand on a sticky mouse trap so a mouse wouldn't stick. Don't need mice in the office, but it's Friday. If it got stuck it would be there dying of thirst and ripping its own hair out until Monday. Right or wrong?

Ah but there's thousands of clinical trials run on humans every day. For meds anyway. Obviously this is probably after they try em on animals but humans don't get away scott free! :)

Nobody here about that group of elephant people a few years back? Did some med yrial and they all swelled up to stupid sizes! :)

There are thousands of humans on death row and in prison for life for heinous crimes against other humans. I say start with those individuals first and when we run out of them maybe the trial will be over. Besides there's no better way to see how a human will react to something than to try it on one 👊👍

Sounds good, maybe suggest it to PETA or RSPCA, they could lobby to get a bill pushed through. 😃
