Legalization

  Have they legalized/decriminalized cannabis use in your area? If so how has it affected the area?

  I'm from Denver, and the last time I visited there were dispensaries everywhere. Everyone I talked to says that's it has helped the community. Cops are happy because they don't have to waste their time with meaningless busts. Parents are happy because there aren't as manny dealers sellin to kids. Stoners are happy because they....well that's obvious. Crime is down, drug use is actually down. I don't see any negatives here.....do u?

  All of the positives you just listed are why it needs to be decriminalized altogether. Free the plant!

  You would actually rarely hear about any cannabis related crimes here in Southern California, actually I don't remember hearing about any at all! If anything, the legalization has helped the community. Drug or not, it's still healthier than alcohol. Keyword: healthier.

  But in all honesty I live in southern California and its generated alot of income for the state. My mother in law has her license and I go with her to different shops to get her bud and they're busy every time.

  For the life of me I cannot understand why industrial hemp is not a front page issue. In the 1930's it was a BILLION DOLLAR cash crop. With today's technology the sky would be the limit.

  I did my senior project on industrial hemp. I interviewed a deputy Sherriff and his words went along the lines of 'it is impossible to tell hemp and marijuana apart'. I beg to differ. Go on google images and search marijuana and hemp plants. They look nothing like each other. Furthermore, soil contaminated with hemp seed WILL NOT provide the proper neurishment to grow pot.

  If its legal to drink alcohol until you throw up why not? Well I think here in the UK it's down to the fact that everyone would grow it and they couldn't tax it

  I'll tell you why right now. Because of cotton. Think about it. If hemp became the number one material for clothing and whatnot the cotton companies would go under. And some of the cotton companies have been around for hundreds of years. And therefore have ties to the government. It all comes down to the almighty dollar. It's always about 💰💰💰. Always.

  It's not only cotton. Anything made from cotton, timber, or petroleum can be made from hemp. More efficiently and with virtually no pesticides. That is why cannabis was banned in the first place, companies like DuPont, Hearst industries, all oil companies, etc. banned together and misinformed the naive public about the plant. That was I the 1930's....today there is so much information available it surprises me that they are still getting away with it.

  1941- Henry Ford built an automobile in which the only steel was in the frame. All other components comprised of 100% natural fibers, and even ran from fuel derived from the hemp stock. The US government destroyed the car, and threatened imprisonment if he pursued the technology.

  I can go on and on....in college I wrote almost all of my papers/speeches on industrial hemp/cannabis.

  I'm all for the legalization of marijuana. Hell, people will take and do what they want to anyways make it all legal. BUT increase the punishment for the scumbags who steal, kill, etc. If you can't control yourself and you make somebody else's life worse because of your habit I'm all for SEVERE punishment for those individuals. 👊👍

  When Hunter Thompson ran for sharriff of aspen, he wanted to legalize all drugs.....but non-profit only. If you got caught selling for profit, or any violence, there would be a public whipping post in town square.

  Cannabis = weed, herb, pot, dope, smoke, etc. originated from Latin word for canvas

  In Colorado you are allowed to grow a certain amount, usually 7-10 plants, but up to 25 per household. Still brings in tons of tax revenue.
