If you are against this bill write your state's representatives.... Wikipedia made it incredibly easy to do. Just go there and type in your zip code. Then click all the contact links and write them all your opinion. It took me around 10 mins to write Jon Kline, Amy Kloubasur(or however you spell it...) and Al Frankin. Easy, efficient, and effective. The petitions are okay, but our country is built on the people being able to have a voice about any government issue. Just take the time to use it.

It is a blatant attempt to make nearly everyone in our society a criminal by proxy. Copying data that isn't yours would be considered an offense. Ever save a jpg you didn't upload? You sir are a menace to society according to this bill, and should be put on a watch list in a NSA database for your action.

I might seem drastic but consider this! All they need is a precedent. Laws get passed and over time they get more and more severe. Laws don't get abolished, or less severe nearly as often as when they are passed and do become overly aggressive to our freedoms.

Its not just SOPA they r trying to pass the PIPA
Bill to. It's a sad attempt for big brother. These bills if they pass can and will change the Internet as we know it. They will allow the government the right to essentially just delete any website that they don't like. And it is backed by some big corporations such as NIKE, VISA, Monster cable and so on. It is a violation on our freedom of speech and I suggest that any one who uses the Internet or just loves the freedom of speech that we as Americans have then go sign the petition and let your voice be heard. You will be sorry if those bills pass, we all will. Google SOPA and PIPA

As for some good news!
Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who co-sponsored the Protect-IP Act (PIPA) that served as the Senate equivalent of the SOPA bill, has officially withdrawn his support of PIPA and called for more discussion before new copyright legislation is introduced.

“Earlier this year, this bill passed the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously and without controversy. Since then, we’ve heard legitimate concerns about the impact the bill could have on access to the Internet and about a potentially unreasonable expansion of the federal government’s power to impact the Internet,” Rubio wrote on his Facebook page Wednesday morning. “Congress should listen and avoid rushing through a bill that could have many unintended consequences.”

“Therefore, I have decided to withdraw my support for the Protect IP Act,”.

13 others have followed suit and decided to change sides about supporting the bill.

Never give big brother the power to infringe on our constitutional rights. These bills are being cloaked under an anti-piracy cover but what they amount to is its giving the government the power to legally delete any website for any reason they want, and after they delete ur website they can blacklist you. Craigslist is one of the websites that's marked for blacklisting as soon as this bill passes, if it passes. These bills are BS that's what they r.
