Honestly? 1000% yes. It'd be worse IMHO. Criminals would Have more access to legal guns bought illegally.Add: OLSEN wrote:

Sir I disagree with you, guns are always going to be around, some form or fashion, and so are bad guys and criminals, I looked at the statistics of sydney and aus before posting this so I did my research, yes you do have a lot of shootings, so you have laws that are against the ownership of those firearms, well if everybody in sydney carried a gun, knew how to use it properly, do you think there would be as many shootings still? -

I thought the exact same thing. I wasn't going to bother arguing with him anymore - he's obviously set rigid in his narrow minded belief and who am I to attempt to destroy his beliefs? 😉Add: OLSEN wrote:

Well an increase in legal guns would mean more guns on the street, correct? Giving criminals more access to otherwise legal guns they would more than likely acquire illegally. My reasonig for this is simple. We have armed guards, gun clubs, private homes being robbed specifically for the weapons. Sorry for not making it clearer, I tend to not make sense when I'm in a rush.Add: OLSEN wrote:

What? Who are you? You call me narrow minded but are just plain ignorant! You've bought no fact to te argument, just nodded your head and agreed with everything the Americans have said. I've never once said ANYTHING about their crime statistics or even their right to own guns. All I ever said was im glad we do not have that right. Sorry though carry on you know everything.👍 -

Hey Olsen there's no need to talk down to him, and yes he has made many points, and yes he has agreed with me, the way you try to prove your point is almost like you don't want guns in Aus at all, those guards and so called gun clubs need to learn how to do their job and correctly use their firearms, I know if anyone walked into my store and tried to take some of the guns we have he would end up on a stretcher leaving the place, -
you do seem to have such a one sided opinion about this subject I can't even reason with you at all, I have listened to what you have said, done my research but you still say I am completely wrong, and you also seem to have a grudge against us "Americans" so I refuse to listen to you until you come to this discussion with an open unbiased mind

I never said once you were completely wrong. You seem to be trying to apply what works in the states will happen/work here in Australia. And you're saying I'm the one with a biased opinion? Haha sorry if me calling you American is offensive, what would you like me to call you? United states of American? Haha I'm just joking I meant no offense with the use of american.you do seem to have such a one sided opinion about this subject I can't even reason with you at all, I have listened to what you have said, done my research but you still say I am completely wrong, and you also seem to have a grudge against us "Americans" so I refuse to listen to you until you come to this discussion with an open unbiased mind

Mate I talk to people how they talk to me, if people talk down to me or I think they are I will respond likewise. Sorry if that's a problem but that's how I was raised. Our regulation requires all firearms to be stored in safes when nt being used. That applies to everyone. You can't have firearms laying around anywhere, even in gun clubs.Add: OLSEN wrote:

sorry I forgot to add, I didn't ask for any reasoning. I stated my opinion on gun crime in Australia and how I think it would be worse if your second amendment applied here. I then had people trying to shoot that comment down, because U.S statistics say other wise. I don't mean to sound rude, but I don't care about statistics or reasoning from another country when they can't be applied here in Australia. I hope that clears it up, and I apologize if I offended anyone. That was never my intention.Dead Eye Frank wrote:
