The most exotic food I've eaten that I didn't like: jellyfish. It was squishy and crunchy at the same time. I also had a chicharone (pig skin) taco recently, and thought it was pretty horrid and squishy. I'll stick to fried pig skin in the future.
Exotic food item that I did like: durian. It was covered with crushed ice and sweetened condensed milk (which killed the smell), and I thought it was rather good.

Barbequed palm grub (beetle larvae). Look like 2 inch fat maggots. Delicacy in the Peruvian amazon. Google "suri Peru".

As much as I like to experience local cultures, that's one thing I would have to take a pass on.

Nothing major compared to you guys: calamari (not really exotic), escargot, shark, steak tartar, wild boar, & alligator. The only one of those I didn't like was the boar-it was too gamey. Oh, when I was a kid I had pretty much any bird you can hunt in TX-my friend's dad was a hunter & they always made me eat it! 👎

I ate this stuff called ramen once. it's like a flat brick of these things like curly spaghetti in an opaque cellophane package and you put it in boiling water with a sachet of flavor. it turns into soup.
I also ate this substance called American cheese. that too comes individually wrapped in plastic. it picks up lint and hair if you drop it on the floor and it tastes like creamy salt.

Every year I friend of mine cooks weird food for a class. I've had: rat soup, baked crickets, escargot, balut(?) partially formed duck embryo, frog legs, Blood worm cookies, cow tongue, and chicken feet.

In Egypt they have these bags of fried beetles that they eat like potatoe chips. Pretty good accually bit crunchy though.
