Need some advice

This is a bit of a long story, I'll try to keep it short, but don't want to miss any details.

Part 1. I find an area with several inactive turfs that I think would be a great money maker. I talk to the local capo about moving in and I'm told it's fine, just don't take protection from him. Great!

Part 2. I expand into an airport I learned to fly at (not just a name) so it means something to me. The above mentioned capo is also the capo of the airport, he has 1 turf with 1 influence. I build 2 turfs there, 1 with 85 influence figuring if he wants the capo he can easily build 1 more turf, put both at 86 and have his capo back.

Part 3. He caps my turfs at the airport and gives me a nice threatening message. I say I'm sorry, explain my reasoning and also tell him that all he had to do was ask and I'd leave.

Part 4. Over the last few days he has been capping my turfs. Won't tell me why when I ask, only tells me that I need to get over it.

He has a mob of 5,000, I'm a little over 2000. He is growing about as fast as I am, and I'm punching codes quite a bit. Diplomacy and rationality have not been effective strategies with this guy, and I don't have
