Capping Question
Forums › General Discussion › Capping Question-
I see a lot of people on here mentioning how many turf a player has captured vs how many have been placed. Whats a good % to have capped? I see people hop over and cap someone and tear down the turf used to hop. Wouldn't that lead to a lot of capped turf and not many placed? What's so wrong with that?

Well as far as a actual % dont know what to tell you there. But as far as turfs/caps i can tell you this, while you can turf hop to cap someone. The don doesnt count capped turfs as freebies. For example you have 14/15 turfs you can cap or place one more turf to get 15/15. But if you have 15/15 and then cap a turf you then will be 16/15 thus one turf behind whenever you lvl or don point purchase more turf ability. You can cap way beyond your actual turf limit. But until you are back below your limit you will not be able to place anymore turfs. Aside fron all that, capping turfs without a real cause can tend to piss people off lol. So tho the pup may be little now, they may grow up to bite ya back later. Happy turfing =)

Thank you for your response.
I understand the capping limit and realize you can't go beyond it unless you cap past it.
My question really is since people look at the amount of turf that's been capped by a player when there is a complaint, what's the limit? There are people who only cap 1 or 2 from everyone in an area but don't over do it. Or like when a guy comes into a town and starts capping inactives. A large player might take 10 or more of that guys turf if he didn't stop doing it. I'm just looking for opinions on why it really matters. Thanks guys.

What matters is your reason for capping. If you do it just for shits and giggles, have a big mob. It's frowned upon to Cap inactives because it hurts EVERYONE's income around you (including yourself). Capping noobs is also bad because it cuts the chance of them spreading out and raising your income. (also try not to tax active noobs)
The best time to cap is when someone is threatening you (turf wise). Don't cap if someone takes a capo by out-influencing you.
Just remember to have respect for other players and HAVE FUN. -

Aye, theres always going to be people out there that will cap others just because they can. It hurts the property values, their own income, and generally creates anger from the player base. Always better to either place property near or on someone to tax em then to go around capping without a cause. Generally it seems more a tit for tat game, someone screws with you and your turfs you will grow and fight/cap back. Last thing ya want to have happen which i have heard in the fourms about in cities is have a player come into a town and wipe out everything/everyone creates alot of heartache and a dead city. Sometimes vendettas can be started to get rid of that bad player but the damage is usually already done. Imo, id say dont cap unless provoked, teaching a lesson, or trying to start a fight.

Yep. Or maybe people that cap noobs that have only been playing for 4 days that don't know any better rather than send them a message or something. There's some dicks out there for sure
