Thank you all for your comments of support.
My mother will be cremated on the 23rd Jamuary.
I appreciate the turf colour change and minutes truce.
However, I would prefer the 23rd January to be a day for our community to remember those people who are no longer with us.
Not only those who play the game but family and friends.

On the 23rd I will tear down and rebuild all of my turf in memory of all those, now in a better place. Firstly, RIP Liam Wood, a player for a football team in my league died on the pitch in Newcastle-UL.

Hey swagger sorry to hear about the loss of ur mother nothing can heal the pain of losing some one so close prayers are with you and hope 23rd goes with out trouble keep strong and remember all the good memory's and laughter you had with your mother

Swag, may I ask your mothers name, nickname, or phrase of rememberance so that on the 23rd my son and I can dedicate a turf for her and one for my little brother who was taken in a car wreck. I have many memorials for him in RL as he was also cremated and has had his ashes spread in his various favorite spots....I had never given much thought about a TW tribute until now.....

I know it's a small thing but I'm renaming one of my turfs for a good friend of mine who died 4 years ago on a snowboarding holiday.....knew him for well over 10 years
