I have recently been falling asleep at 12-2ish and getting up at 5-6ish then an eight hour school day. Is this bad?

Yeah you should get AT LEAST 6 hours, but 8 is optimal.

I prefer 10 hours some days, others I'm fine with 6 hours. Btw it's 2:30 am here, I can't get to sleep.

In high school I would RARELY get more than 3-4 hours of sleep a night. At that age I never required more. Maybe I'd sleep in on the weekends once in a while. Today I only need 5-6. Every now and then I'll crash and sleep 12 or so hours. Sleep when you need to sleep. Lol
