Although this isn't a massive expenditure with a budget like this it's depressing how people throw away money on extravagant gifts like this when the middle and lower classes are in the shit. Why not donate it to charity where it will do some good.

This would serve no purpose in the wider spectrum. How far do you suppose 600k would go to easing the burden on such a wide spread issue? It would be a piss in a pond.
