I'm getting turf smashed by WEC, I think in Louisiana, but not certain where. 5 turf in 24 hours capped and destroyed. No prior history, no communication. When I asked what (he) was doing, I was lit up again.
I can't do anything myself because WEC is 32000 mob strong and I'm 6500.
Does anyone know who this is and why he/she tears stuff up without reason?

hehe, yeah he got a couple turf from me too. Best to just ignore him and rebuild. Not much you can do about it anyway.

oh, the reason is probably you had loot out that he wanted.

Whether the turf is kept or destroyed is irrelevant. You asked him what he was doing? If you say anything to someone that caps you, you say/ask it nicely. Typically though, it's best not to say anything under a certain number of turf.
As to why, he could have been capping loot, or just capping because it's Turf Wars.

None of these turf have loot. Yes, this is turf wars, but he's not grabbing turf for need. For him, this is sport. But he has 5x mob and 10x turf; this is very poor sport. I don't have the ability to retaliate (which, I'm sure, is why he likes it), but should someone with power and ethics like to do something, please let me know how it goes.

Also, when asked "What are you doing" he capped/demoed 4 more turf. His MO is apparently no talking; he caps in response to talking. I understand that 8 capped turf is not a lot, but it's a lot for me.

WEC capped me out of Heathrow a couple of months ago. When I questioned it his response was 1) where does it say in the rules I can't cap you and 2) you should have laid more turf. Do you know what? He was right on both counts... As this is a war game sometimes you've just gotta suck it up and take the hits... Where's the fun otherwise?

@Friar - capping is a sport. Capping can be done purely for fun, not because you need the turf.
Welcome to the old school style of play, when players actually knew it was wise not to pm someone over losing a few turf, unless they wanted to lose more.
These days the pendulum has swung so far to the other side that people expect every cap, every attack even, to be explained.

I don't have any issue with capping, but the imbalance is what surprises me. Where's the sport in capping a 6,500 mob, 65 turf guy? It sure doesn't prove oneself to be a badass, if you're 32,000+.

Friar, don't get so attached to your circles. I lose 10 or more every week. Just have to build new ones. The idea is to continue growing not to hang on to each individual turf.

Just get over it. Rebuild the turfs or cap those that are smaller than you. While doing that try to mob up. If you ever end up catching up to or surpass Wec, cap him back.
