The general vibe I'm getting is that it's moraly wrong to capture someone elses turf. Is this true? And if I do so am I to expect a chain of vendetas an hate mail? Just thought I should ask.

it all depends on the person your taking from. some complain more than others. most generally if you only take one or two from the same person you can get away with it but they still wont b happy
