Farming????

A friend of mine has just started playing. He is playing in a more densely populated area than me and has been receiving comments telling him "not to farm their territory" I assumed they are telling him not to encroach on their turf such that they would need to pay protection to him. Is this correct?

Farming generally means attacking them constantly till they are in the emergency room

Thanks

Negative. Farming is planting an 86+ turf over the top of an 86- turf so that you earn protection money. I suggest that if they have bigger mobs you restrict your turf size to 86 in those areas.

The term "farming" is used in both senses mentioned above, so sometimes confusing. If you go by the Turf Wars Lingo listed in the Wiki, http://turfwarswiki.com/index.php/Turf_Wars_Lingo, then V iHaZ x is correct. But this is not official. The context of Hyena's OP suggests the meaning given by Mr. Nice Guy.

Ah yes! Farming for experience points as described on Wiki as opposed to farming for income as described above.

I think it's debatable whether someone can actually be farmed. A long time ago nick made it so that after a certain number of attacks by Player A on Player B in 24 hours (around 13, but I always forget the exact number), Player A will no longer receive money or xp from Player B. Mr Nice Guy is referring to collecting protection money, also sometimes called taxing.

Farming for xp works best when you lose.
The 6 experience points that you get from losing a fight against somebody with a similar sized mob never seems to depreciate.
Whereas if you win the fight you only get experience for the first 8 attacks in any 24 hour period. -

Try it out. Find somebody who has a similar size mob & weapon set up.
Attack each other 10 times each and observe what happens to the experience points you earn. -
I have been doing this, and someone complained. I thought this was the name off the game , but I took him off of my hit list :)

Depends. Four or five...yeah, only noobs. Ten to twenty...depends on whether or not you're involved in a war or vendetta and the lost health becomes a detriment or annoying. I once had a guy attack me over 250 times in one day. That was aggravating.

lol! no doubt, sounds personal at 250, they would have to repeatedly heal themselves I would think. I usually only hit 4 or 5 times and move on to the next.
