WTF I have all green capture checks and cam not capture
Forums › Help & Strategy › WTF I have all green capture checks and cam not capture-
The turf is owned by a bigger player. I keep losing the attack but the turf is down to 0 and it still won't go to capture. That is not fair.
-
To capture u need at
least one win after the turf has reach zero -
Then a smaller guy has no defense against a bigger that is enough to quit the game
-
Stupid

You can't just be #1 right outta the box. We all started in the same place. You can get to the same levels as anyone else.

yes, he does. You cant capture because you arent winning. You have to win at least one fight to capture the turf.ChainsawCharlie wrote:

And it is fair. The winner wins and the loser loses.

not true. People who started coding sooner will always have a bigger mob. People only lose mob members from resets, but people who just delete the game will be in your mob forever. You can't just be #1 right outta the box. We all started in the same place. Thanks for stating the obvious Sherlock. If you dont create a way for a person who recently started the game to defend it's turfs by beatingplayers with 3x mobs then new players will never stay long. IF I am willing to take the extra health and financial cost in losing to defend my turfs should in the end be able to capture an invading player. Without that my only other resort is to spend $600 on henchmen. I this is not solved I predict a short life to turf wars as a game in general. It won't make money.
-
You dont have to buy henchman.

Level font mean squat. I gaffe turf caped at level 70 by a level 19 player.
Build your mob. It's the only number that matters. It's the only thing that will protect you.
It's not hard. I know of at least one player that added over 2000 mob in a single night. I did 900 in a weekend.
-
Lol I know but when you are 24 hours from destructions pounding in2000 codes in hopes thu accept an then finding the money to arm them all is IMPOSSIBLE. Think.
-
There's nothing to think about. When I started this game, players were already over the 1000 mark.
So you get wiped out. Live and learn. Suck it up and Start over. It happened to me.
-
You may have a hard time attacking bigger players, but this game is weighted heavily in defense. Defenders enjoy a 30% advatage over attackers.
-
Charlie it is about the game surviving. What you did is something the vast majority would never do. Nick needs to make money for this thing to survive and get better this is a issue that will kill the growth to players and leave a small group left to play
-
Anyhoo it is one guys opinion. You are entilted to yours even if it is wrong :). Sooo long

And one last bit:
this is a game, but it is also a product in a free market economy. I'm sure the developers didn't design just because they were bored. They don't work to main it andcthe servers out of the kindness of there hearts.
They're in it for the money, as almost all business are.
It's unfortunate that you can't afford to spend money on it. Or maybe you just dontvwant to. I'd love to drive a lamborghinu every day, but I'm stuck with my Nissan. At least for a couple more years anyway.
Hechmem, turf limit increases...
All the means are there to survive and excel in this game.
But like life, nothing is just going to be handed to you, and there will always be a fresh stream of new players to ce along and drop a few bucks.
Budget, and support your local dev. I'm in it for the long haul. I drop 20 bucks a month on the game.

One more thing-ask President Nixon how many times he was driven out of SF before becoming top dog in this game.
-
You so don't get it dude. So I am going to stop trying.
-
You're the one who is not getting it. You come in ad a new player and eat to start taking from the vets right off the bat. It doesn't work that way.
You want shortcuts.
Try building alliances with someone. There's also vendettas to take out bigger players.
Everything you need us in this game. AND you can do it without spending money. Read the help page. Read the help forums.

WTF?
I just checked your profile. Level 50, 57 turf.
You have nothing to cry about. Mob the he'll up already.
-
LOL...there's always going to be whiners Charlie
I started out playing this game in January...almost 3 months after some players had started playing...yet somehow I am in the top 10 mob (using real mob #'s, not henchmen). Just because you come in later does not mean you will always be smaller than the current top mob.

I'm still on the fence about whether or not this game is fundamentally flawed by design. There is definity a huge advantage given to people who "got there first" and did it months ago. I've just started playing only about 2 wks ago, and it's lots of fun driving around + grabbing turf when I get the chance, but because the game uses real territory, there's a very real limit to the availability of properties and as a result, income in a crowded city can be hard to come by. Essentially, "fairness" can only come from sharing turf (not capturing), which is a concept directly opposed to the goal of the game (turf wars, 'n all).
I can't see how I'd ever be able to beat my city's capo, and I can basically just sit and hope he doesn't notice my meager territory and pwn it, since I'm low-lvl and far more subjected to terrorization by anyone who has been actively playing for a while: I have limited income, strong for my level I'm sure, but weak for the game...(cont'd)
-
...and I have to make the difficult decision between building up influence or buying weapons to defend myself, right now it's an either/or thing.
But given that, this is a unique little idea and a fun game. It's a nice break from the rest of these MMO games. I've paid a few dollars to support the devs and increase my turf limit (wish it was still higher though!).
CC: you say that the developer isn't running the server out of the kindness of their hearts, and I don't know them so I can't 100% disagree, but I think there's a bit of uniqueness here, enough to tell me that they're having a good time running this game and there may, in fact, be just a bit of kindness in their otherwise black, twisted, and cold hearts. :p

Stop crying dude. I started the game about 8 weeks ago. First thing I did is scout where to build safe turfs n contacted local capos to say hi.
I've sat and added (or typed. In excess of 4k codes n only spend minimal amount less than $40 on don points to increase turf 2 a day.
I have not captured one turf of anyone. I move to new area let folk know n say I come in peace.
Play fair, mob up (takes effort) n stop crying.
