Can't work out my totals, stupid I know but the 30 percent rule confuses me, please help!

this is where a search feature would be faaaaaaabulous...

There is a search feature, it's called Ctrl+F on each page then type in the text you are looking for. For this example, go the Help & Strategy Forums page, hit Ctrl+F, then type in 30% and hit enter. If it doesn't find it on that page, go to the next page, hit Ctrl+F again (then, get this, you don't even have to insert the text you are search for again because it saved it for you) and then hit enter. Voila, you have your search!
