Melee Weapons Explained
Forums › Help & Strategy › Melee Weapons Explained-
Melee weapons are basically a 2nd category of weapons you can equip. If you have 100 people in your mob, you can now equip 100 regular (non-melee) weapons, 100 melee weapons, and 100 pieces of armor.
Some former "regular" weapons have now become melee weapons. See the announcements or the market to find out which ones & how the stats were adjusted.
Most melee weapons are loot, however you can buy shanks & steel-toed shoes in the market.

Thanks to dr p for catching a mistake I made in the previous version of this thread!

Does melee count when using AP ammo? And what about armor attack does it count too?

Yes , your best melee weapon will be used for attack and defense(this may not be the same weapon). Like with regular weapons how the AR is best for attack and Lapua is best for defense. So it would be beneficial to have the best melee weapon for attack and the best melee weapon for defense for each mob member, if you can afford / loot them.

So when you attack the stat is melee plus regular?

You can now also buy Meat Cleavers in the market.
Please remember that it's possible to acquire loot before you are a high enough level to use it.
