1. Think. Don't jump into making an alliance, you CAN survive as a single player if you mob up and make friends.
2. Alliances aren't built into the game! Stop asking!
3. You have to have a larger mob or eventually players will wonder why they have to follow someone smaller than them.
4. You have to have a goal. And don't make it to "take over" turf wars. You can just make the goal to keep each other safe.
5. If you announce your alliance on the forum be prepared for ER trips and criticism.

Pause....

6. Make the name catchy. Ask others opinion.
7. If you want it to be stealth, forfit the tags (emoji). But it's up to you.
8. Recruit in one area and expand there. Don't have players in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. If you can't support them.
9. Take everything with a grain of salt. Don't get aggravated or jump into battle. It's how alliances end.
10. Background check potential members, look at their wall and ask players near them. You Don't want bullies (usually).
-
11. Maintain order. Don't second guess yourself and don't hesitate cracking down on members who stir up trouble.
12. I recommend palringo being required, it's a great way to communicate.
13. If you give up leadership, don't try to retain it.
14. Listen to players with experience, but remember in the end it's your choice.
15. Have fun and don't let it drive you crazy.
-
8a Avoid recruiting publicly. It's best to make allies located nearby & form an alliance with them.
16 Avoid trash-talking; it only leads to trouble.
-
17. Don't go mad with power or boss your members around. They will eventually get frustrated with you and quit.
18. Don't start wars when you first start out. You will almost definately lose and make a fool of your alliance.
19. Start a code list with the alliance. Use only your alliance members codes and include a website if you have one. Websites are always helpful in maintaining a growing alliance.
20. Don't be afraid to ask for help from other alliances. If you need assistance, most other alliances/ people will help you out.

I think websites would help. Keep track of members, people could apply to the alliance through the website, and you can mark dates on the calendar to let everyone know if one day you're going on a capping spree. Pretty helpful. GODS have one.Turf Smashaaa wrote:

Websites can be extremely helpful keeping track of members' locations, vendettas, etc. It's great to have a private place to post important info that will get lost in Palringo. GC3 started one at the very end. I wouldn't use it for recruits, unless you have a password protected section.
