Ok this thread is to address the most frequently asked questions in the forum and keep them all in one place. To make this sucessful help me by posting the most common quetsion you see and the answers
1) How do I become capo?
Answer by having the most influence in a city( note in the city not total influence.2)how come I can't use all of my weapons
answer: because each mobember gets one weapon and one armor only in a fight so the more mob you have the more weapons you use -
3)why am I making negative money?
Answer: it's because your upkeep is greater than your income. Either you have too many weapons or you have defensive upgrades. Sell off the excess baggage to get your income back on track4) What is bump
Answer: bump is a way of pushing your thread to the top of the forum without causing the discussion to go off track I.E.: it is bumped to the top5)How do I capture turf?
Answer: See president Nixons
"how to us the capture checklist" thread. Always located at the top of the help and strategy forum -
6) what do you do. If someone is stealing alot if turf from you?
Answer: first try commenting the attacker asking them to stop, it may work
Also mob up. Use the invite code forum and the codebanks. Make sure you have 1 weapon and armour per mob member, if your just starting out go for grenades or ak47's if you can afford the upkeep.
Hit back at your attacker, if your still too weak perhaps you need help via a vendetta? -
7)how does the game define a city?
Answer it is done completely by google maps with a lil programme added8)what factors constitute the increase of a turf's income?? Is it increased when more players are allocated in an area, or it is realtive to the density of the turfs? That means even I am alone in a city I can still increase my turf's income by building many turfs close together???
Answer: it isn't based on your turf it's based on how many other player's turfs are close to yours -
9) How do I get a big mob?
Answer 1; Post your code in the invite code forum as often as you can.
2; visit one of the online code sites and enter codes until you can't take it anymore, then repeat till you have entered all of the codes.10)How do I leapfrog?
Answer:build a turf
upgrade it to either 64 or 84 inf
press build turf in build in the direction you wish to travel using the green build circle from you turf
build and upgrade to 64 or 84 inf
continue doing this till you reach you destination
you can also tear down the 1st turf as you go so u can build more over all -
Q: How does att & def work. A: You get one point on your total for each skill point spent to raise. (currently a complete waste of skill points)
-
Q: I just spent the last four hours typing in 800 codes. How come I only got 4 new mob members?
A: It takes time for people to log in and accept your codes. Don't be surprised to only get a 70% return for your efforts. Lots of inactives out there.
-
Q: What benifits do I get for being Capo?
A: You get free police protection in the area you are Capo of and that is it. All other areas where you are NOT Capo, you still have to pay for police protection to avoid hourly income penalties on your turfs. Capo titles are also good for bragging rights...
-
Q: I don't understand Turf Limits...why is that some people have so many Turfs & are still able to build more? How do I increase my limit?
A: Max Turf Limits can be increased two different ways:
(1) Certain Experience Levels award you with a single Turf Limit increase.
(2) You can also spend Don Points to increase your Max Turf Limit. Note: You can buy two for 12 Don Points each but then the price goes up by 1 for every 2 you buy. This increase will decrease by one every 24 hours until back to 12.You can capture Turfs which can put you over your Max Turf Limit at which time you will be unable to build new turfs until you are back at your Max Turf Limit by tearing down, leveling up or buying with Don Points.

Q: How do I earn Protection Money from someone?
A: Protection Money (not Police Protection) is either earned or paid under the following circumstance: One player must have a turf that has a higher influence than another players Turf AND the influence ring of the higher influenced Turf must intersect at least half of the lower influenced Turf.
The best way to earn protection money is to find a turf that has an influence below 84 (the lower it is the easier it will be to get your Turf through 50% of it), lay down a Turf as close as possible & max out it's influence. Inactive players are perfect for mooching protection money from.
-
In reference to the above about earning protection money...please note that it does take some amount of time (30 mins?) for the servers to catch up & start deducting protection money from the other player.

Q: There's a ton of pages in these forums, is there any way to search for a topic to see if it has been addressed in the past?

it grows thru influence upgrades. I believe the highest 84 has a radius of .6 milesThis is helpful, thank you. I do have a question, too: does my turf circle grow over time or thru influence upgrades? So far the turfs I have claimed are very small circles compared to more established turfs.
This is day 4 for me, it's a fun game.

Q: What is the 30% Mob Size Factor?
A: The 30% Mob Size Factor is the resulting ratio of an attacker's total att stat (with maxed body armor & RPG's) over a defender's def stat (with maxed body armor & miniguns).
So the ratio of the combined att stat of RPG's & body armor over the combined def stats of the miniguns & body armor is what creates the 30% factor. See breakdown below;
Body Armor: att=2, def=15
Miniguns: att=18, def=16
RPG's: att=22, def=14Say both mobs have 1k members; here's the breakdown:
Attacker: has 1k x body armor & 1k RPG's
att=(2+22)*1k = 24k
Defender: has 1k x body armor & 1k miniguns
def=(15+16)*1k = 31kRatio: 24k/31k = 1.2917 = roughly 30%
So the attacker needs to have 1.3*1k mob members to win consistently which = 1.3k. -

I'd like to add that the more of the turf you cover, the more protection money you get.

so then the turf has to be real close for that. Covering the center of the turf is usually best altho you can sometimes get protection covering a little less. Also remember that the influence of the other turf has to be less than the influence of yours to get protectionPay protection I'm after , the more I capture in my area the less the value of the rest of my turf so it's not really a shrewd move

Q) i have entered all the codes from th code websites why isn't my mob as bis as the top mobsters?
A) there are alot of players who have quit so they cannot except your invites. This gap seems impossible to overcome at first but over time the gap van slowly be closed. I recommend searching the map and leaderboards. Send your code to as many places as you can. Some players only add 5 or less mob before they quit. After a while you start inching closer to the big guns -

if you feel harrassed by another player you need to hit the feedback button on the top of the homescreen to report it. I wouldn't worry too much about it tho. How's he going to know who you are and where you live? Mob up and tear him a new oneWhat do I do when a user is demanding to know where I live and that I "build
turf in his name"? Do the developers take responsibility for real-life violence or is this something they didn't take into account when they made a gps game based around a culture of violence? -
It's unfortunate you feel that way cause there are countless players that are honorable & decent who actually make it their mission to prevent the types of players that you're talking about from doing what they're doing.
There are a number of us that would gladly attack this type of player you're describing to the point where THEY quit.
-
But this is a mob game, you know that right? It's not Farmville or Turf Hugs...so Turf Wars, as with any game that involves attacking, will unfortunately attract some less than desireable types of people.
And this is meant to be a social networking type of game, so there will be interaction with other players. The type of player that makes beligerent threats is just a lowlife loser who comes to games like this to take out their childish aggressions.
-
There are plenty of measures in place to deter bullying & your most valuable resource is veteran players. I'm in Southern California, but would gladly turf hop across the country to take someone like what you described out...although I wouldn't have to cause I can name a dozen or more top mobs out there that would love to squash some ass who goes around threating people.
If you're getting threats, that would be considered above & beyond normal trash talk, I would be honestly surprised if Nick didn't do anything after getting feedback of the situation.
-
Anyway FringeRath, hope you stick with it & give it a chance, you seem like an intelligent player...it would be a shame to lose a decent player cause of some wannabe tough guy.
I would recommend talking to your local Capo, which I see is Aggressive who is a good guy (hopefully he's not the one you're talking about).

What is a mule/muler?
~Matt~
Muling is where a player has different Turf Wars accounts installed on more than one device that they control and they use one account to boost the other. For example: a player would use one account to build turfs (this would be the mule account) while they use the other (main) account to capture them.
Mule accounts are also used to bully & can be used in vendettas. It's not against the 'unwritten' rules to have & play more than account, you just cannot use one account to benefit the other.
The most common scenario is most likely when a player has both an iPhone & an iPod; or a friend or family member doesnt play Turf Wars but lets them use their device.

IF I ADD MACHINE GUN NESTS DO THAY HELP OR ARE THEY JUST A WAIST OF MONEY ❔❔❔
-
Help is a relative term. They will certainly add defense, nut how strong is the attacker?
