I found my iPod, and I bought a new one yesterday and logged in to my account, is there a way I can log out of my account on that device.

Only way I've heard is to feedback saying you want it cleared on that device, then they can do it from that end.

You cannot. Each account is tied to the device, and only one account is allowed per device. Logging out is not an option to prevent account switching/muling/etc. If you need to move an old account to a new device then contact Feedback and explain.

They will tell you to send them the UDID number for the old device. I had to go through this when I got my new phone and sold my old one. It's fairly simple.
