How to get XP from fights?

How do you get XP from fights? I notice that some fights I go in I get as much as 8 XP, some I get 1 or 2, and some I get none at all... I can't seem to figure out a correlation between levels and mob sizes or something that will give a clue as to which fights give XP and which fights give the most XP... Does anyone know? Cheers

You need to fight somone closeish to your relative combat power to get good xp. Which is a good thing I think

About the same or higher than your level
and about the same or more mob than you
and win to get the most exp out of a fight

But you've said you can't find a correllation, it works for me at least. Don't just look at mob power see if they are geared up enough. I could of course be off track but that's what I've found

there isn't real corrilation
it's just generally the highernthe level and and mob u attacking compared to yourself the morexp u get
