Why does net and $ in the header differ?

According to the turf screen I should net 140k but in the header it only says 88k. What gives?

I don't believe it takes upkeep costs for weapons and armor into account.

Net is the money you make and income is what you make after all your expenses are paid off. If you don't have police protection Or have a upkeep then your income will be lower than your net pay.
