  Do I have to have available turf to capture a turf or can I capture while I am at my limit?If I can capture above my limit does the captured turf count when I level up and get a bigger limit or is it treated separately?

  You can exceed the limit. They are not separate.

  Just don't increase your limit from the don after capturing over your limit cause it will balance out and waste points
