Turf capture tear down question

So if I understand correctly if I am maxed out on my turf limit, say 30/30, I can still capture turf. So let's say I do and then I have 1 freebie turf. So if for strategic reasons I decide to tear it down will my turf limit go down to 29/30 or will that captured turf disappear into the ether? I suspect the latter but some clarification would be good thx.

If you are 30/30 and capture, you will go to 31/30. If you tear down one, you will be back to 30/30 and won't be able to place or rebuild the one you tore down.

Also, if you are 31/30 and get a new turf for leveling up, you will go to 31/31 and not be able to build a new turf.

The best thing to do is use respect points to increase your turf limit before capturing and to kee increasing your turf limit of you want to move to other areas without capturing.

Ah harsh but fair I guess...ultimately there is no 'free' turf...

It's been a big point of contention for a few people. Personally I saw it as a good game balance but wasn't sure how to put it, I like your way, "there is no free turf".

I like the balance, it's an interesting way of keeping the more ambitious players in check.

I think it takes away the point of capturing turfs. You might as well just build one yourself close to it and increase the income on your own turf.
