Upkeep of captured turf?

Hello,

After capturing my first turf, I noticed it has a $17k upkeep and only $15k profit. Why is the upkeep there? I upgraded the turf slightly and noticed the negative income decreased due to income increas. Still, why is the 17k being taken out and is there anyway to get rid of it? I'm guessing its because it's captured, but sill wouldn't make sense to get negative income for capturing.

Also check the defense, it saps money big time

I have cop protection. All other fees are at $0 but the upkeep is $17k

to add on. I have 8 other turfs that I created myself. All of them have $0 upkeep. This is the only base that has an upkeep fee and is the only base I captured. any other help?

How long before posting did you capture it??

If it was paying protection when you captured it, that protection will show up after capture but should go away after about ten minutes or so.

If it does not, look and see if it has defensive upgrades and sell those.
